Dear Editor,
I think it is totally immoral and surely ‘a breach of contract’ for Thomas Cook to unilaterally decide to only pay 95% of monies due to Algarve hotels.
What if I had booked a holiday from UK to say Turkey with Thomas Cook and told THEM I would only pay 95% of the money due? Would they still let me proceed with my holiday? I don’t think so!
It is a disgraceful bullying ‘Big Company’ attitude and damages the image of UK holiday companies.
The Algarve is a great place for holidays – weather, welcoming Portuguese people, excellent beaches and golf – I could go on.
I have to say I may be biased as I decided to make the Eastern Algarve my home seven years ago having previously enjoyed many holidays with Cosmos Holidays in the lovely resort of Monte Gordo.
