A PORTUGUESE man arrested next to a petrol station in Lagoa last Wednesday (March 12) on suspicion of drug trafficking is also believed to be a suspect in a murder investigation.
Police, who were patrolling in the early hours of the morning, saw the man acting suspiciously in a poorly lit area. They approached thge man and, after searching him and his car, found 580 doses of cocaine and more than 2,000 of hashish. The 23-year-old is said to be well-known by police and is under investigation for murder.
