Fatal crash

Irish cellist Kenneth Frazer died and seven people were injured following a collision between two cars on the EN118 road near Samora Correia in central Portugal on May 22.

According to the police, the accident was caused by a third car, which fled the scene after the collision.

A member of the team involved in the rescue operation said: “Kenneth Frazer was in a car driven by his wife. When she turned sharply to the right to avoid crashing into a black BMW station wagon that was travelling in the opposite direction, they ended colliding with another car.”

Police are now investigating the accident.
