Janette O’Neil broke the male domination at the Amendoeira Bowls Club on Monday, May 31, when she became the first woman to take top spot during the crown green competition.
Janette, who only began crown green bowling a year ago, beat Peter Clarke 11 – 9 in the final round of the competition.
Weekly crown green competitions take place every Monday at the Amendoeira Bowls Club with flat competitions on Fridays, both from 9.30am.
