A FREE foot checking session. promoted by the Portuguese Podology Association, takes place at the Rosa Nunes chemist in Portimão between 10am and 5pm on September 18.
Doctor Manuel Azevedo Portela, President of the association said: “The checks are important to prevent, advise on and treat foot related illnesses. They are also an important incentive for people to think about the health of their feet.”
A recent study by the association found that 86 per cent of Portuguese people suffer from illnesses of the feet, however only 12 per cent have had Podology consultations.
