Alcoutim residents aged 65 and over can benefit from free flu vaccination during the month of October.
Last year the government decided that senior citizens should be administered the flu jab for free, however the measure had already been implemented in Alcoutim 17 years ago. Health professionals travel to people’s homes in a Mobile Health Unit to administer the jabs.
In the municipality, residents suffering from diabetes, cardiac diseases and asthma can also benefit from free vaccination against the Influenza virus.
