Big wave surf-legend Garrett McNamara is offering an €800 reward for the recovery of a hard disk stolen from a car belonging to one of his reporting team at Nazaré last Friday.
The disk is full of new images of Nazaré’s monster waves. “I had a camera on my head when I surfed them,” he explained. “No one has seen those images before. My heart is sad. I just want them back.”
The hard disk was stolen along with cameras, lenses and a computer, but McNamara told reporters that the rest of the haul was not at issue. “We just want the hard disk back,” he affirmed. “There’ll be no questions asked.”
