Aviludo, one of Portugal’s main wholesale suppliers, has been taken over by Metro AG.
The German multinational company, which owns Portugal’s Makro cash-and-carry stores, completed the deal as part of its goal to expand its presence in Portugal, which it views as a “strategic market”.
The cost of the takeover has not been revealed and the deal is still awaiting approval from authorities.
