AN ORGANISATION in Faro to help abused and/or homeless girls between the ages of 12 and 18 is to be re-launched in August.
The Protecção à Rapariga Institution was first created early last century by a group of wealthy ladies wanting to help those less fortunate. Over time, however, it had ceased operating.
It is now a modern project which acts as a temporary shelter for girls in need until a long term solution can be found. It has 18 rooms, for up to 36 girls.
