PLAYERS COMPETING in this week’s Vale do Lobo Grand Champions Caixa Geral de Depósitos tournament were very optimistic and relaxed during the pre-tournament cocktails on Tuesday.
All of the players were present at a pre tournament cocktail party, which took place at the Royal spa gardens in Vale do Lobo, including Bjorn Borg, Sergi Bruguera, Thomas Muster, Andres Gomez,

Cedric Pioline, Fernando Meligeni and Nuno Marques.
Swedish player and former world number one Bjorn Borg told The Resident: “I am hoping to play some good tennis, but I am in a difficult group. The most important thing for me is to have fun. There will be a lot of great matches.”
This is not the first time that Bjorn Borg has visited Vale do Lobo: “I came here with my wife six years ago. It’s nice to have my family around. It’s going to be a nice week for all of us.”
