Head delivered to São José Hospital mid-afternoon
The mystery surrounding the head missing from a body discovered in the Baixa district of Lisbon has been ‘solved’: a man walked into the city’s São José Hospital this afternoon “and delivered the head”, say reports, “explaining that it was related to the crime committed in Lisbon on Wednesday”.
As Observador explains, PSP police have a station in the hospital, thus they ‘took charge of the incident’ until PJ (judicial police) inspectors investigating this case arrived.
Very little is explained about the man who delivered the head, nor how it was delivered (was it in a bag/ in a box/ in some kind of shroud?) And for the time being, there has been no information on the victim’s identity.
Observador says the man who delivered the head will now be questioned by PJ police.
This bizarre incident is believed to be connected to drug-trafficking.
