Thirteen candidates applied for the post of president of the regional health authority.
The applications will be sent to the government on October 30 and the new ARS‑Algarve president is expected to be announced soon after.
Martins dos Santos, the outgoing president, handed in his resignation in July when Pedro Nunes was announced as president of the new Centro Hospitalar do Algarve, an entity Santos helped create.
