Portimonense beat pre-season visitors Cardiff City 3-0 on Saturday evening in their first public appearance since returning from their training camp in the north.
New signings Candeias, Pedro Moita and Anderson were all on target at Ferreiras’ Nora Stadium as manager Litos expressed himself more than happy with his team’s progress.
Re-building should almost have been completed by tomorrow’s (Saturday) encounter with Brighton following the arrival of Mozambique duo Helder Pelembe and Jumisse, as well as on loan Porto players Ventura and Andre Pinto in mid-week, with only two forwards and a winger from Uruguay and Argentina still due in the Algarve.
