The Algarve’s hotel industry continued in June its recovery from its pandemic-induced crisis, regional hotelier association AHETA has announced.
Provisional data shows hotel room bookings reached 75.3% last month, 33.5 percentage points more than in June 2021 and just 3.3 percentage points behind June 2019.
The Irish (+3.3pp) and British (+0.4pp) markets saw the largest increases compared to 2019, while decreases were registered in the German (-2.8pp) and Portuguese (-1.8pp) markets.
