Indulgence Lda has just landed an order for a spa … by helicopter!
The recently formed company based at Porches Retail Park, Alcantarilha, has completed the supply of a portable hot tub to a client in Alvor on May 7.
Ian Morris of Indulgence, which specialises in hot tubs, saunas, composite decking, synthetic grass and spa and pool maintenance, said: “Due to the fact that it would be impossible for a crane to reach the client’s garden area, we had to look at other methods and, in this case, a helicopter was the only other option available”.
The helicopter flew from Loulé early Friday morning to lift the hot tub from a local area and lower it safely to the Alvor garden below.
Rex Vass, the new owner of the hot tub, said that the reaction from the local public has been amazing: “It’s certainly not every day you see a helicopter with a Jacuzzi attached to it flying low over the town of Alvor.”
Ian Morris said: “Hot tub sales are really just starting to grow here in Portugal as people realise their swimming pools aren’t being used all year round and they are looking to hot tubs to give them the warm relaxing benefit 12 months of the year at a fraction of the cost of a pool.”
The company, run by business partners Ian Morris, Catalina Spas, and John Woodhams, SACL, hopes to offer clients the widest choice of spa models available in Portugal from their showroom at Porches Retail Park.
“Customers expect to see a variety of different spa models and colour combinations, hence we needed a large exhibition area and the showroom, formerly Autoheat, gives us the opportunity to show not only the various models but also our wet-room facility as a ‘try before you buy’ option,” said Ian Morris.
From manufacturers Catalina, Dynasty, Eurospa and Beachcomber, Indulgence has a range priced to suit any client.
For the upcoming FIFA World Cup, Indulgence are offering special deals on a variety of models, including a six-seat television spa complete with floating remote, LED Lights, CD/DVD, Dynasound stereo system and sky/cable compatible, a must to watch your team from.
Indulgence will be holding their official open day on Saturday, May 29 from 10am until 6pm, set to include a barbecue and drinks, competitions, live music and special offers.
