On December 10, Core Architects unveiled something quietly extraordinary in Almancil. Their new showroom is more than a workspace, more than a gallery, more than a studio. It is an arrival. A signal. And it begins with a blue tree painted boldly across the facade.
The building, now known as the Blue Tree House, has already started to draw curiosity. Drivers slow down. People pause to take photographs. The blue tree has quickly become a beacon within the Algarve design landscape, a landmark for those seeking thoughtful architecture and interiors that prioritise meaning over momentum. It stands as a visual metaphor for the studio’s ethos: rooted, expressive, unmistakably alive.

Inside, the space unfolds with calm intention. Under the leadership of CEO and Founder Anabela Macieira, Core Architects has created an environment that reflects clarity, warmth, and a commitment to design that elevates everyday living.
The new premises brings the entire studio under one roof. The architecture team works from the heart of the building in an open, collaborative environment. Sketches shift, models develop, and design conversations flow with an energy that is intentionally visible. Nothing is hidden. The design process is treated as something to be shared, a dialogue rather than a presentation.
Alongside the studio sits the interiors showroom, curated with the precision and softness that Core has become known for. Furniture, lighting, textiles, vintage finds, and objects are arranged with gallery-like sensitivity. Each piece is chosen for its craftsmanship and emotional resonance. The collections will shift with the seasons, ensuring the space remains an ever-evolving reflection of inspiration, materiality, and mood.
When asked about the vision for the Blue Tree House, Anabela Macieira describes it as a destination rather than simply a headquarters. A place where clients can experience architecture and interiors as a fluid continuum. A place where ideas can be explored, touched, tested, and ultimately shaped into something deeply personal. A place that welcomes curiosity and conversation.

Core Architects also intends to use the Blue Tree House as a platform for the wider creative community, with plans for design talks, curated showcases, and seasonal installations celebrating architecture, interiors, craftsmanship, and culture. The goal is to create a space that not only displays design but actively participates in shaping it.
