A FRENCH couple are expected to hear, within weeks, what charges they face following the sinking, last year, of the trimaran Intermezzo and the death of its owner.
António Vilar, the lawyer of one of the murder suspects, Corine Caspar, revealed on Tuesday that a decision is imminent on what the pair will be accused of.
Dr. Vilar, who will be representing both suspects, told The Resident that the government prosecution is close to deciding on the official accusations.
The Intermezzo, a trimaran belonging to the late André le Floch, capsized off the coast of Sagres last August. The owner was found dead inside.
Two rescued crew members, Corine Caspar and Thierry Beille, who are both French, were arrested and have been held in prison awaiting trial.
