Your correspondent Maria Valentina Umer (Letters, Algarve Resident, July 2) takes June Lover to task for producing an article “awash with stereotypes”.
An interesting point of view negated, somewhat, when she shoots herself in the foot with a bit of stereotyping of her own – “..given the notorious English arrogance”.
I thought the English were tea-drinking, bowler-hatted, beer-gutted snobs?
Please carry on writing just as you are, June – most of us take your views with the pinch of salt you serve them with.
