The Bloco de Esquerda (BE) has announced the opening of an office in Portimão Town Hall where local people can come to air their gripes.
Called “Gabinete do Vereador do Povo” (People Councillor’s Office), it was one of the promises in BE’s campaign when it ran in the municipal elections. João Vasconcelos, the town’s elected BE councillor, will be available to meet local people every Thursday between 10am and 12pm.
“We honour what we promised,” he said on his Facebook page. “We said that if Bloco de Esquerda was able to elect a councillor, we would create an office in the city hall where we could get together with the local residents.”
