Loulé switched on its Christmas lights on November 20 in a ceremony celebrating the beginning of the festive season in the city.
The lights and decorations have been put up in the main streets of Loulé and surrounding areas, and in Quarteira, Almancil and Boliqueime.
According to Mayor Seruca Emídio, despite budget constraints imposed by the crisis, the most important thing is the Christmas spirit symbolised by these lights.
