Multi-talented artists will be performing at the Grand Variety Show on Saturday, November 2 in Lagoa to help raise much-needed funds for the Algarve Oncology Association (AOA).
This annual spectacular, now in its sixth year, will be held at the Lagoa Auditorium and will feature several performers introduced by hosts Ian Carfrae and Jenny Grainer.
International singer Pinky Steed will be appearing along with many other artists, amongst whom will be the classical Dell’Acqua Trio of talented female musicians, Carla Pontes, soprano, Grace Borgan, flute and Cristiana Silva, piano. Their melodic sounds will enchant and guarantee a night to remember.
Popular local singer Michelle Frasca will also be joining the list of artists.
Originally from London she played in various bands on the club circuit during her teens and 20s, then after pursuing a career in marketing escaped the stresses of corporate life in the UK to Portugal, where once again she picked up her guitar and now has time to enjoy playing her music.
Along with the above are dancers from the Albufeira ‘Academy of Dance’ and also from ‘Fit to Dance Studio’ in Alvor.
Teen protégé Catarina Barão will sing her first recording and Jan will play on the accordion.
The packed evening of entertainment will also have a prize raffle whilst the Royal British Legion will have poppies available to buy.
The doors will open at 6.30pm to purchase tickets and the show will start at 8pm
Tickets cost €12 per person.
