Loulé Câmara is investing 34,000 euros to give the town’s castle a face-lift. It was built in the 11th century and, thanks to old age and damage suffered in the 1755 earthquake, it is in need of repair.
The face-lift will involve the walls and towers being cleaned up to maintain this historic icon and hopefully it will attract more visitors.
