Loulé council will be handing out 1,800 Christmas hampers so that even the municipality’s poorest families can have a slap-up Christmas meal.
Containing everything from ‘bacalhau’ (codfish) to milk, cheese, olive oil and beans, the hampers will be handed out amongst the municipality’s nine parishes between December 12 and 19.
