AROUND ONE billion euros is due to be spent by 2010 to revolutionise tourism in Lagos.
Five-star hotels, luxury resorts and golf courses are expected to transform Lagos into one of the leading luxury tourism destinations in the Algarve. Lagos does not currently have any five-star hotels but this is due to change once the luxury five-star Cascade Resort opens next year.
During the Arte Doce fair, between July 26 and 29, more details about investments will be revealed by Câmara President Júlio Barroso, who said that the projects due to be discussed “should be completed by 2010”.
