PORTIMÃO GNR arrested a man on Monday for carrying marijuana.
The 31-year-old man was arrested when heading to Portimão on the A22, between Albufeira and Pêra.It has been reported that the police had been investigating the man, who lives in Lagoa, for two months.
The arrest operation was coordinated with members of the traffic brigade of Lagoa GNR and the Rapid Intervention team.
Police estimate that the quantity of marijuana the man was carrying, hidden in his car, would be enough to produce around five thousand individual doses.
