A seminar on Mobility in the Home is being presented by mobility specialists Sulcare on December 2 at Quinta do Morgado in Tavira from 10am.
The hour-long event, which has been organised by afpop, Portugal’s largest association for foreign residents and property owners, is being led by Thomas Decker, Sulcare’s CEO, who will talk about the accessibilities concept, with solutions for everyday problems like opening doors, picking up items from the floor and other common situations that those with restricted mobility may encounter.
Advice will also be given on the use of stair lifts and how individuals can continue to use a swimming pool aided by various hoist systems.
Sarah Spalding, Sulcare’s nursing collaborator, will then discuss the aspects of collaboration with medical doctors and nurses who provide homecare services.
Refreshments will be served throughout the free presentation, which is open to all.
