VILA REAL de Santo Antonio is hosting the 15th Festival Sete Sois Sete Luas, Seven suns seven moons, a cultural festival organised by the Associação Cultural Sete Sois Sete Luas, supported by the Câmara Municipal of VRSA.
The festival organisers have invited guests and musicians from countries around the world including Cabo Verde, Spain, Portugal, France, Greece, Italy, Morocco and Israel.
Events during the festival include a concert by the group Música Nostra on July 15, a group from the Balearic Islands created in 1981 dedicated to investigating, rediscovering and preserving Majorca’s music.
On July 22 there will be a concert by the Italian group Dounia, who specialise in Mediterranean music followed by a concert on July 29 by Parto delle Nuvole Pesanti. Laurita, a Sicilian band founded in 1987 will perform on August 4, the closing act on August 10 will be a special show by a 16 piece jazz band called Punk Off.
All the concerts will take place outdoors in the park next to Monte Gordo Casino and Monte Gordo beach, Vila Real Santo Antonio and start at 10pm. The festival runs until August 10.
