Dear Editor,
The rain, which was welcome in many ways, although it has ruined my wonderful display of freesias, has had a great impact in another way.
Today, I have sat watching an incredible array of wonderful birds. Some have been drinking from the puddles on our patio, whilst others (obviously the slimmer ones!) have clung to plants drinking rain water. The real treat was to watch Mr & Mrs Robin taking it in turns to have a plunge bath.
Now, whilst I can readily identify Mr & Mrs Robin, I would really like to know more about the birds which visit my garden throughout the year. Can you or any of your readers recommend a book which may help me?
