A new route from Faro to Funchal in Madeira and Ponta Delgada in the Azores by Azores-based airline SATA will start operating from June 18.
President of the Algarve Tourism Board Nuno Aires said: “This new route, Faro-Funchal-Ponta Delgada, will be a boost for domestic tourism, the second largest market in the Algarve, which registered around 3.6 million overnight stays last year.”.
