The Algarve’s tourist association (ATA) has launched a new digital guide promoting the region as the perfect destination for meetings, conferences and exhibitions – in other words, MICE tourism.
The guide aims to offer “all the information needed” to host an event here, showcasing the region’s infrastructures, weather, safety, wealth of cultural and leisurely activities and also “great value for money”.
“Through this guide, any professional who is choosing a location for their event will be able to realise that the Algarve has an excellent capacity to host any kind of initiative,” said ATA boss Dora Coelho.
As she points out, there are over 75,000 seats available at the Algarve’s many venues.
Apart from the region’s congress centres, there are also over 40 golf courses, five marinas, a world-famous racetrack, 119 beaches and eight Michelin-starred restaurants in the Algarve.
The guide is in English and can be found online (click here)
