Alcoutim Câmara launched a public tender on June 6 for the construction of a park with picnic area for motorhomers at Pereiro.
The planned investment amounts to €194,000 and the work should be completed by the end of this year.
The project will be located near the Pereiro dam and will also have a fuel station.
According to the Mayor of Alcoutim, Francisco Amaral: “It’s important to give motorhomers the best conditions for them to visit Alcoutim council. We already have a motorhome area at the council and this new one will improve the conditions we have to offer.
“This type of tourism is an important asset to the local economy.”
