The Royal British Legion’s Portugal Branch Annual General Meeting took place at the Holiday Inn Algarve on November 24, when several officers were elected on the day.
The meeting was chaired for the last time by Cdr Ronald Goddard AFC RN (Ret’d).
onald handed over to Desmond Briggs BEM, who stepped up from the position of Vice Chairman to Chairman.
Also standing down was the Hon. Secretary Paul Wigram, who handed over this position to Jacquie Collins. The position of Vice Chair- man was filled by Stewart Austin. Also elected to the position of Portugal Branch Poppy Coordinator was Sandra Wilkinson.
Certificates of appreciation signed by Eddie Hefferman, the overseas representative on the board of trustees, were presented to the two outgoing committee members.
