One of the oldest and most visited English language websites in Portugal -algarveresident.com – will be replaced from next Friday by an all-new daily news portal covering the whole of Portugal.
The new site has been some five months in the making and the publishers of the Algarve Resident have their sights firmly set on making portugalresident.com the number one source of online news and information about Portugal in English.

From the company’s offices in the Algarve, Lisbon and Madeira the company’s in-house journalists are backed up by freelance writers working together to generate content on a daily basis covering national and regional news, leisure and lifestyle.
This is the first of a series of new online projects that Open Media has in the pipeline, spearheaded by webmaster José Madeira, a software engineer who joined Open Media in July this year as Web Development Manager.
