A new Intermarché supermarket has opened in Sagres, creating 25 jobs.
The new store represents an investment of 2.2 million euros and has been created to serve a potential client base of 5,300 people in the Sagres area.
A spokesman for the store said: “We hope that this store will act as a new pole for economic development in the region, not only as a form of generating employment but also as a support for local producers.”
Intermarché supermarkets, part of the Os Mosqueteiros group, markets itself as being a brand that provides customers with a wide variety of products with special emphasis on fresh produce.
