LAGOA WILL be celebrating its annual religious festival of our Lady of Light, Nossa Senhora da Luz, on September 8 which is a bank holiday for the town.
Celebrations will take place at the Largo da Igreja Matriz de Lagoa, the town square in front of the church, and will include concerts by Portuguese singers on Friday and Saturday from 9pm.
Religious celebrations will also begin on Friday at 6.30pm in the church, with a religious procession around the town on Saturday at 7pm.
