A GERMAN citizen who had been visiting Portugal regularly for more than five years was arrested in Lisbon on June 27 on charges of paedophilia.
A spokesman for the Polícia Judiciária told The Resident: “A German citizen has been detained in Lisbon on suspicion of paedophilia crimes.
“An international arrest warrant had been issued for the suspect by German authorities. However, we cannot confirm his identity.”
