Portuguese musician, composer and professor Luís Conceição (pictured) will be performing a piano concert and presenting his new CD Dez dedos de conversa at the São Brás de Alportel Museum on Saturday, June 11 at 6.30pm.
Luis Conceição studied piano and the Science of Music at music academies in the Algarve, Lisbon and Évora.
At present, he is Vice-President and music teacher at the Academy of Music in Tavira.
Besides playing, he is also a composer and has more than 200 works to his credit, some of which are available on CD.
His style is essentially a fusion of ethnic, erudite and jazz origins and he is currently working on an interdisciplinary project of symbiotic relationships between music, poetry and cinema.
Entrance is €10 and €8 for Amigos do Museu (Friends of the Museum).
