Pilgrims dwindle

NUMBERS OF pilgrims visiting the shrine of Fátima are expected to fall this year because of the global economic crisis and the 150 year celebrations of apparitions in Lourdes, France according to Monsenhor Luciano Guerra, the priest at Fátima.

This year the attention has turned to Lourdes and officials believe that with the economic crisis tourists are unable to afford more than one pilgrimage this year.
