A GNR police operation across the Algarve to promote road safety will be taking place until January 2.
Operation Feliz Natal will see police distributing leaflets at service stations in a bid to raise awareness of road safety and to reduce the number of fatalities on the roads over the festive period.
On January 3 the GNR will then launch a Back to School initiative and will be informing parents of the importance of the correct safety seating in cars for children under the age of 12.
