A PROTOCOL, signed between Portimão Câmara and EMARP, the municipal water and residue company, stipulates that the latter is now responsible for cleaning the borough’s bathing areas. The beach-cleaning project has an annual cost of 350,000 euros and is financed by national and community funds, through the Environmental Operation Programme and Piqtur, the Intervention Programme for Tourism Classification.
