Guests and members from the Quinta do Vale golf club took part in the second annual President’s Day Tournament on May 22.
The tournament was played in a Stableford format for guests and a Medal format for club members of Quinta do Vale, the Severiano Ballesteros-designed course near Castro Marim.
Most of the players of the tournament finished with good scores and players followed the golf with a prize giving ceremony in the clubhouse, which included live music and wine tasting from Algarve winery Quinta dos Vales.
João Arcanjo and Alberto Morais tied for top place, each with 39 points, followed by Joel Nunes and Horácio Afonso with 38 and 36 points respectively in the Stableford competition.
In the Medal category, Iñaki Durruti took the top spot with 65 points, with Álvaro Alonso Prada coming second with 70 points and Marcel Klemez in third with 71 points.
