CONSTRUCTION IS due to begin on a new private hospital called Hospital Particular de Faro in Gambelas, Faro.
The private hospital will be constructed over an area of more than 3,000sqm and will have a total of 95 rooms with 95 beds: 49 are private single rooms and 23 are rooms with two beds in each. Treatments include general surgery, gynaecology, obstetrics, podiatry, ophthalmology, orthopaedics, psychology, psychiatry, speech therapy, plastic surgery, urology, cardiology and neurology, among others.
With a total investment of four million euros, the project has been funded by private companies and is due to be completed before the end of 2009.
