I have trouble with my son and I wish kids wouldn’t be labelled as ‘wild children’ etc. There is usually an underlying reason and unfortunately not enough support in Portugal to get the help needed for children. There should be school psychologists to assess children for ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder), bipolar disorder, dyslexia etc. The earlier they get help the better. I have been waiting months for my son to be seen under a scheme called ‘Jasmin’ – meanwhile things are just getting worse.
