São Brás de Alportel is the latest municipality to join Ambilinha, a new project providing a free service for the collection of waste from commercial establishments, restaurants and cafés in the area.
Ambilinha covers the collection of paper, cardboard, plastic and glass waste, which are then sent for recycling.
This is an initiative launched by ALGAR, the Algarve’s solid waste management company, and has the aim of improving the collection of recyclable waste and urban hygiene.
