A series of roadshows will be taking place throughout Portugal in September and October to promote an initiative that aims to encourage and help budding entrepreneurs launch new tourism projects.
The initiative is divided into two programmes – Tourism Up and Taste Up.
The first aims to help startup companies promote tourism-related projects, while the second was created to support companies involved in the gastronomy and wine tourism sectors.
The roadshows will be held to help businesspeople understand how these programmes can help them.
Portimão will be the first town in the Algarve to host a roadshow on Tuesday, September 3, followed by Loulé on Monday, October 7, Faro on Thursday, October 10, Lagos on Friday, October 11 and finally Portimão again at the ISMAT school on the same day.
During the roadshows, several projects will be selected for a round of bootcamps which will be held in November. The grand finale is scheduled for December, with the winning projects of each programme receiving a €5,000 prize, with the second and third best projects receiving €1,000 and €500 respectively.
The roadshows will be held in Portuguese. More information can be found online at https://www.territorioscriativos.eu
