BLOOD IS a precious commodity, and, here in the Algarve, there is never enough blood in store.
Accidents, illnesses and surgery create a great demand throughout the country, so the Rotary Clubs of Silves, Portimão and Praia da Rocha are coming together to organise a special blood donor day at the Barlavento Hospital in Portimão, on Sunday, July 16.
All Rotarians and their families are welcome to attend, and any non-Rotarians who would like to assist in this vital life-saving event, can phone Rotarian Herbert Chatters on 282 381 508 for further information and to register their interest. The event will be held during the morning, starting at 9am.
