A TOTAL of 82 kilos of rubbish was recently collected from the bottom of the sea in front of Faro beach.
A team of 21 divers from the Hidroespaço diving school took part in the clean-up exercise.
The divers, who travelled from various parts of the country, collected rubbish from a natural reef known as Cabeço dos Robalos at a depth of around 20 metres. Abandoned fishing nets, plastic bags and wine bottles were among the items collected.
