ALTURA IS hosting the first traditional Sea Salt Fair of Castro Marim until Sunday (August 26), from 8pm to midnight.
The fair is organised by local producers of Associação de Produtores de Sal Marinho do Sotavento Algarvio, with the help of Castro Marim Câmara, and includes organised visits to the salt pans of Castro Marim starting every day at 6pm in Altura.
The fair aims to explain to visitors how traditional sea salt is produced in the Algarve as well as its advantages to health in comparison with the industrial production.
