Portugal’s beloved football icon, Cristiano Ronaldo and his longtime girlfriend, Georgina Rodríguez, announced their engagement yesterday on social media.
After years of rumours suggesting a possible engagement, they decided to share their special moment publicly.
In the post shared by Rodríguez, her hand, placed above Ronaldo’s, displays an XXL diamond ring with the caption: “Sí, quiero. En esta y en todas mis vidas.” (Yes, I do. In this life and all my lives.)
Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez met at a Gucci store in Madrid in 2016 and started dating in 2017. That same year, they made their first public appearance as a couple at the FIFA “The Best” awards ceremony, accompanied by Cristiano Jr., the Portuguese international’s son.
Later that year, in June, Ronaldo announced the birth of twins Mateo and Eva, who were born via surrogate. Shortly afterwards, in December, Cristiano and Georgina welcomed their first daughter, Alana Martina.
In October 2021, the couple announced they were expecting twins. Bella Esmeralda was born in April 2022, but her brother tragically died during childbirth.
In 2023, following Ronaldo’s signing with Al-Nassr in Riyadh, the couple and their children relocated to Saudi Arabia.
