Cristiano Ronaldo’s jet ‘flees’ Saudi Arabia last night

Flight took off following drone strike on Riyadh's U.S. embassy

With foreigners leaving the Middle East ‘in droves’, the €70 million private jet of Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo was clocked leaving Riyadh airport in Saudi Arabia last night, arriving in Madrid, Spain, in the early hours of this morning.

News buzz centres on whether or not Ronaldo – and his family – were onboard.

A source cited by Saudi media Al-Riyahiyah claims the Portuguese striker is still in Saudi where he has been living with his family since signing up with the country’s Al-Nassr club.

Ronaldo has yet to make any official statement.

Riyadh meantime has been targeted by Iran in retaliation for the wave of attacks by the U.S. and Israel that began on Saturday.
